Cornmeal Coating Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Milk
    1/2 Cups
  • Lemon Juice
    1 Tablespoons
  • Cod Fillets
    4 of 3 ounce each
  • Oil for frying
    1 Cups
  • Cornmeal
    1/3 Cups
  • All Purpose Flour
    1/3 Cups
  • Paprika Powder
    1 Teaspoons
  • Salt and Pepper
    To Taste
  • Garlic Powder
    1/2 Teaspoons
  • Cayenne Pepper
    1/8 Teaspoons
  • Thyme
    1/2 Teaspoons

Preparation mode:

Steps to make Cornmeal Coating Recipe:
1) Take a bowl and whisk together lemon juice and milk.
2) Add the cod fillets to the bowl. Turn to coat. Leave to marinate for 5 minutes.
3) Heat up oil in a skillet over moderate flame.
4) In a new bowl combine flour and cornmeal together. Mix in garlic powder, thyme, salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne pepper.
5) Coat the fish readily with the cornmeal mixture. Fry in the hot oil until evenly golden brown. Serve hot!
