Korean BBQ Galbi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Beef Short Ribs
    5 Pounds
    Cut
  • Onion
    1
    Chopped
  • Garlic
    5 Cloves
    Chopped
  • Asian Pear
    1
    Cored and Cubed
  • Soy Sauce
    1 Cups
  • Brown Sugar
    1 Cups
  • Sesame Oil
    1/4 Cups
  • Honey
    1/4 Cups
  • Black Pepper
    To Taste

Preparation mode:

Steps to make Korean BBQ Galbi Recipe:
1) Fill a stock pot with cold water and dip in the ribs.
2) Refrigerate the pot for 60 minutes. Drain well.
3) Take a bowl and mix together asian pear, onion and garlic. Add this to a food blender.
4) Blend until a smooth puree forms.
5) Transfer the puree to a bowl and whisk in black pepper, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and honey.
6) Add the ribs to the marinade. Cover and leave to marinate overnight.
7) Prepare the outdoor grill and heat it up to high. Also slightly grease the grill grate.
8) Add the marinated ribs to the grill grate and grill for 10 minutes per side.

I would rank this Korean BBQ Galbi Recipe amongst the best Korean bbq meals of all times. This is absolutely outstanding! If you dont have Asian pears at home, use kiwis instead. For more bursting flavor, add sesame seeds, green onions and ginger. This is a super rib meal. You have got to try this if you love ribs!
