Curried Brown Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Grapeseed Oil
    1 Tablespoons
  • Yellow Onion
    1/2 Cups
    Chopped
  • Garlic
    2 Cloves
    Chopped
  • Brown Rice
    1 Cups
  • Curry Powder
    1 Teaspoons
  • Garam Masala
    1 Teaspoons
  • Cumin Seeds
    1 Teaspoons
  • Salt
    To Taste
  • Vegetable Broth
    2 Cups

Preparation mode:

Steps to make Curried Brown Rice Recipe:
1) Add grapeseed oil to a skillet and heat up over moderate flame.
2) Add garlic and onion. Stir fry until the onion is soft and tender.
3) Add rice, garam masala, curry powder and cumin seeds. Mix and toss well over flame for a couple of minutes.
4) Stir in the broth and mix in salt to taste. Boil.
5) Turn the flame down to low and cover the skillet. Leave to cook for 45 minutes. Serve hot!

This Curried Brown Rice Recipe is a simple and easy to cook rice meal, but a tasty one as well. This has more of a middle eastern touch to it since countries like Pakistan and Indian are known for their curried rice dishes. Serve as a side dish or main course meal, either way its a nice addition to the dining table.
