Ingredients:
- Vegetable Oil1 Tablespoons
- All Purpose Flour1 Tablespoons
- Onion1Chopped
- Pork Sausage1 Pounds
- Minced Beef1 Pounds
- Cajun Seasoning1 Teaspoons
- Garlic PowderPinch
- Refrigerated Pie Dough15 Ounces
- Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Preparation mode:
1) Heat up a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over moderate flame.
2) Add in the floor and stir well for a couple of minutes.
3) Throw in the onion and stir fry until soft and tender.
4) Add the meat and fry in the onion for about 10 minutes time or until all the pink color has gone.
5) Add in garlic powder, followed by Cajun seasoning. Discard the fat and leave to cool.
6) Once cooled, roll out the dough on a well floured surface. Make roll shaped rounds out of the dough and fill each round with the cooked meat mixture.
7) Repeat step 6 to make all pies.
8) Prepare a deep fryer and heat up oil in it over high flame.
9) Once the oil is hot, fry the pies until evenly brown. ( Should take about 4 minutes for each pie).
Note: You can also bake the pies for 20 minutes in an oven heated upto 170 degree Celsius.
