Slippery Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Peanut Oil
    2 Cups
  • Large Shrimp
    1 Pounds
    Peeled and Deveined
  • Cornstarch
    1/4 Cups
  • Garlic
    2 Cloves
    Chopped
  • Ginger
    1/2 Teaspoons
    Chopped
  • Cayenne Pepper
    1/2 Teaspoons
  • White Wine
    1 Tablespoons
  • White Vinegar
    1 Tablespoons
  • Ketchup
    1 Tablespoons
  • White Sugar
    5 Teaspoons
  • Salt
    To Taste
  • Cornstarch
    2 Teaspoons
  • Water
    2 Teaspoons
  • Green Onions
    5
    Sliced

Preparation mode:

Steps to make Slippery Shrimp Recipe:
1) Add peanut oil to a deep skillet and heat it up over high flame.
2) Coat the shrimp with cornstarch and fry in the hot oil until evenly brown. Set aside.
3) Leave 1 tablespoon oil in the skillet, discarding the rest. Add ginger, garlic and cayenne pepper.
4) Stir fry until the ginger shows brown color.
5) Stir in vinegar, ketchup, wine, salt and quarter of a cup of water. Mix and bring the mixture to a boi.
6) In a couple tablespoons water, mix cornstarch and add to the skillet. Mix until the mixture is thick and smooth.
7) Add in the seared shrimp, followed by green onions. Coat well and heat through for a few seconds. Serve!

I just cannot have enough of Chinese seafood meals and this Slippery Shrimp Recipe is one of the many reasons. This is one of the best shrimp dishes youd ever have, trust me, everything from the texture to the coating to the flavors is awesome about this meal. Fabulous stuff! A must try shrimp recipe!
