Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
    12 Ounces
  • Andouille Sausage
    1/2 Pounds
    Sliced
  • Medium Shrimp
    3/4 Pounds
    Peeled and Deveined
  • Green Onions
    4 Tablespoons
    Chopped
  • Mushrooms
    1/2 Cups
    Sliced
  • Garlic
    1.5 Tablespoons
    Chopped
  • White Wine
    1/2 Cups
  • Heavy Cream
    2 Cups
  • Grained Mustard
    1.5 Tablespoons
  • Worcestershire Sauce
    1 Teaspoons
  • Salt and Pepper
    To Taste

Preparation mode:

Steps to make Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Recipe:
1) Fill a stock pot with water and bring to a boil over high flame.
2) Add the pasta to the boiling water and turn the flame down to moderate. Boil for around 12 minutes time. Drain and leave aside to let cool.
3) Heat up a skillet over moderate flame and fry the sausage in it until evenly brown.
4) Add in the shrimp, mushrooms, green onions and garlic. Stir fry for a minute or two. Set aside.
5) In the same skillet, stir in wine and mix with the remaining bits of the fried vegetables.
6) Cook the wine until almost half gone. Then mix in heavy cream.
7) Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 more minutes.
8) Add Worcestershire Sauce and Mustard sauce. Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper to taste.
9) Add the browned sausage back into the skillet and coat with the whole mixture.
10) Stir well and heat through. Serve the pasta topped with the prepared Shrimp sausage mixture.

If you love Cajun and Creole you are going to fall in love with this Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Recipe. My wife isnt a huge fan of mustard sauce, but it turned out fabulous according to her. Deliciously amazing dish. Even my kids enjoyed it alot! Well done to the inventor!
