Chicken Katsu with Tonkatsu Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Worcestershire Sauce
    1/2 Cups
  • Ketchup
    1/4 Cups
  • Soy Sauce
    2 Tablespoons
  • Black Pepper
    To Taste
  • Vegetable Oil for deep frying
    2 Cups
  • All Purpose Flour
    1/2 Cups
  • Bread Crumbs
    1/2 Cups
  • Salt and Ground Black Pepper
    To Taste
  • Eggs
    1
    Beaten
  • Green Onion
    1
    Sliced
  • Chicken Breast Halves
    2
    Boneless

Preparation mode:

1) Take a bowl and whisk together ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.
2) Add ground black pepper to taste and mix thoroughly throughout. Leave the sauce aside.
3) Prepare oil in a deep fryer over high flame.
4) Take a new bowl and mix together salt, black pepper, bread crumbs and flour.
5) Take another bowl and add eggs to it.
6) Coat the chicken pices first in the flour mixture, then with the eggs and then with more bread crumbs.
7) Fry the coated breasts in the super hot oil. Fry until dark brown from all sides. This should take about 6 minutes.
8) Set up the fried chicken on serving platters, slice and serve with the prepared Tonkatsu sauce.
