Ingredients:
- Potatoes4Peeled and Sliced
- All Purpose Flour1 Cups
- Salt and PepperTo Taste
- Baking Powder1 Teaspoons
- Milk1 Cups
- Eggs1
- Cod Fillets1.5 Pounds
- Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Preparation mode:
1) Fill a large bowl with cold water and dip the potatoes in.
2) In another bowl, mix together baking powder, salt and black pepper.
3) Add egg and milk to the bowl and whisk all ingredients thoroughly together. Leave aside.
4) Heat up oil in a deep fryer over high heat.
5) Once the oil is super hot, add the potatoes in it and fry until soft and tender.
6) Set the fried potatoes on tissue papers platters to allow for the excess oil to get absorbed.
7) Coat the fish in the prepared egg and milk mixture. Fry in the hot oil until evenly dark brown.
8) Soak the fried fish in tissue paper and set it up on serving platters.
9) Fry the potatoes in the hot oil for a couple more minutes and serve with the fish.
