Scallops Florentine Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sea Scallops
    1 Pounds
  • All Purpose Flour
    2 Tablespoons
  • Butter
    3 Tablespoons
  • Heavy Cream
    1 Cups
  • Parmesan Cheese
    1/4 Cups
    Grated
  • Salt and Pepper
    To Taste
  • Frozen Spinach
    10 Ounces
    Chopped
  • Mozzarella Cheese
    1 Cups
    Shredded
  • Parmesan Cheese
    1/4 Cups
    Grated
  • Bread Crumbs
    1/4 Cups
  • Old Bay Seasoning
    1 Tablespoons

Preparation mode:

1) Prepare the baking oven and flame it up to the 180 degree Celsius mark.
2) Slightly grease a pie plate.
3) Fill a stock pot with water and add the scallops. Boil for a couple of minutes. Drain and set aside to let dry.
4) Set up the boiled scallops on the pie plate.
5) Heat up butter in a saucepan over low heat and mix in flour.
6) After a few minutes, add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, followed by heavy cream.
7) Stir well and sprinkle salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
8) Top the scallops layer with spinach and then with the prepared cream sauce.
9) Then top with mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan and bread crumbs.
10) Finally, top with Old Bay Seasoning and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Scallops Florentine Recipe is a mouthwatering meal with delicious spinach and scallops served in a cheesy mixture over your favorite noodles or pasta. If the mixture turns out too salty for your tastes and liking, reduce the amount of Old Bay seasoning and substitute parmesan cheese with some other low fat white cheese of your choice.
