Jambalasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
    24 Ounces
  • Olive Oil
    2 Tablespoons
  • Onion
    1
    Chopped
  • Chicken Breasts
    2
    Boneless and bite sized pieces
  • Shrimp
    1 Pounds
    Peeled and Deveined
  • Garlic Powder
    1 Teaspoons
  • Paprika Powder
    1 Tablespoons
  • Cajun Seasoning
    1 Tablespoons
  • Sugar
    1 Tablespoons
  • Oregano
    1 Teaspoons
  • Salt
    To Taste
  • Hot Sauce
    1 Tablespoons
  • Kielbasa
    1 Pounds
    Bite Sized pieces
  • Canned Tomatoes
    28 Ounces
    Diced
  • Cornstarch
    1 Tablespoons
  • Water
    2 Tablespoons

Preparation mode:

1) Fill a stock pot with water and bring to a boil over high flame.
2) Add in the pasta and turn the flame down to moderate. Boil for about 12 minutes time. Drain and set aside.
3) Heat up oil in a skillet over high flame and stir fry the onion.
4) Once the onion is trasparent, add in the garlic powder, paprika powder, salt, cajun seasoning and hot sauce.
5) Heat through for a minute, then add chicken, shrimp and sugar. Stir thoroughly and cook for 10 minutes over high flame.
6) Add tomatoes and kielbasa slices. Stir fry with the mixture for a couple minutes.
7) Make cornstarch and water mixture in a bowl. Pour the mixture into the skillet.
8) Turn the flame down to moderate and cook until smooth and creamy.
9) Set up the boiled pasta on a serving dish and top with the cooked mixture. Enjoy hot!

Derived from Jambalaya, this Jambalasta Recipe uses pasta instead of rice. The dish is incredibly delicious and is one of my favorite exotic seafood meals. If you're a spice lover, you are going to love this. My wife is a huge fan. If the spice turns out too much for your tongue, add more cream at the end.
