How to Get Rid of Springtime Allergies

Spring is the peak season when we suffer from seasonal allergies, most of which are cause due to airborne pollutants and germs including bacteria and viruses. Other than this, the pollen and dust mites are responsible to cause springtime allergies in men, women, and children. There are various symptoms of the complication such as itching of skin, running nose, watery eyes, and sneezing, as well as flu. Here is how to get rid of springtime allergies.
Stay Away from Pollution
Spring is the time when the problem of pollution becomes serious in many parts of the world. Too much dust, pollens of trees like oak, maple, elm, birch, and olives, as well as the harmful chemicals coming from the factories and our vehicles are gradually added to the air. This results in excessive increment of airborne pollutants that enter our body through breathing system. It is mandatory to keep yourself away from pollution. If the area you are living in has factories or road with extreme traffic nearby, then try to wear breathing instrument and gloves to stay protected.
Avoid Guilty Allergens
It is one of the best ways to control springtime allergies. Avoid guilty allergens by limiting your outdoor activities. I know this is difficult for the males and children as they have to go to offices and educational institutes respectively on a daily basis. But you can certainly avoid such harmful materials by closing the unnecessary windows and doors of your home. Try your best to dry laundry indoors. Don’t forget to take a cold shower twice a day because this would help you get rid of allergic materials and harmful chemicals, keeping you fresh and energetic.
Use Antihistamines and Oral Decongestants
The use of antihistamines and oral decongestants is good enough. This provides complete relief from the discomfort of nasal congestion. It is also helpful to regulate your blood pressure. Don’t give such tablets to your children because it may not suit them. An antihistamine/decongestant can be bought from a drugstore easily. But the better option is to get the tablets upon the recommendation of your doctor so that you can be clear with how much dose is enough. This prevents from inflammation and allergic sinusitis to much extent.
