Garlic Cheese Grits with Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Salt
    To Taste
  • Lemon Juice
    Of 1/2 lemon
  • Shrimp
    2 Pounds
    Peeled and Deveined
  • Tomato
    1
    Diced
  • Garlic
    2 Cloves
    Chopped
  • Olive Oil
    2 Tablespoons
  • Butter
    2 Tablespoons
  • Cayenne Pepper
    Pinch
  • Garlic Flavored Cheese
    6 Ounces
    Cubed
  • Grits
    3/4 Cups

Preparation mode:

1) Prepare and cook the grits according to the directions specified on the packet.
2) Add cayenne pepper and cubed cheese. Mix and heat through well over low flame.
3) Heat oil and butter in a skillet over high flame.
4) Throw in garlic and tomato. Stir fry for a couple of minutes, dont burn the garlic though!
5) Pour in lemon juice and add the fresh shrimp. Stir fry until the shrimp turn pink.
6) Sprinkle salt to taste.
7) Serve the warm grits on plates topped with the prepared shrimp mixture.

This Garlic Cheese Grits with Shrimp Recipe make for a fabulous meal. A great, easy and simple dish to make. Substitute chicken broth for water and watch the flavors get a stunning boost. Use jumbo shrimp and add half an half cream to add more creaminess to the shrimp.  Super yummy!!
