Stomach is the most important organ of our digestive system. It is present between esophagus and small intestine. The stomach is responsible to divide foods and liquids into small, absorbable particles, which is entered in our blood stream to reach all the parts of the body for providing energy to continue work. There are a lot of ways people destroy their stomach. Here is how people are destroying their stomach, and affecting its function day-by-day.
Use of Excessive Ice
The use of excessive ice in summers is very common. You always love to add a cube or two in your glass of soft drink, water, milk, or juices. Studies have proved that the use of ice disturbs the functioning of stomach. Ice, being cool, is an instant source to get relief, but this is not friendly to your digestive system.
Addicted Materials
We all know that smoking, drugs, tea and alcohol are not good for health. Any kind of addicted material should not be used. Whether it is an addiction of coffee, tea, or cigarette, this damages your stomach. Those who are addict of smoking pipes, drugs, and alcohol have to suffer from mouth cancer, and other serious health complications.
Painkillers and Sleeping Pills
Painkillers are often used by the people who have minor or major health problems. These may be an instant source to get relief, but aren’t good for your stomach. A number of researches have proved that painkillers like ibuprofen and aspirin kill your digestive system. I have seen many people who become addict to sleeping pills and they cannot even sleep or take rest without these drugs. It really kills your stomach, and can lead you to suffer from severe health problems.
Chocolates
There are mixed reviews of whether chocolates are health-friendly or not. A group of medical professionals claims that chocolates are good for patients of high blood pressure and obesity, while the other group is of the view that dark and brown chocolates destroy the functioning of your stomach. Many people, especially the children, love to eat chocolates in excess. It is obviously not good because excess of anything is bad. Chocolates cause reflux. These may lead you to suffer from heartburn, stomach cramps and bloating like problems.
